Ziyarat Text with Translation
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahir-rahmanir-rahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
اللہ کے نام سے جو نہایت مہربان، بے حد رحم کرنے والا ہے
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya aba `abdillah
Peace be upon you, O Abu-`Abdullah.
سلام ہو آپ پر، اے ابا عبداللہ!
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya-bna rasulillah
Peace be upon you, O son of Allah's Messenger.
سلام ہو آپ پر، اے اللہ کے رسول کے فرزند!
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيكَ يَا خِيَرَةِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱبْنَ خَيرَتِهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya khiyaratallahi wabna khiyaratih
Peace be upon you, O choicest of Allah and son of His choicest.
سلام ہو آپ پر، اے اللہ کے برگزیدہ اور اُس کے برگزیدہ کے فرزند!
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
as-salamu `alayka ya-bna amiril-mu'minin
Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Faithful
سلام ہو آپ پر، اے امیر المومنین کے فرزند
وَٱبْنَ سَيِّدِ ٱلْوَصِيِّينَ
wa-bna sayyidil-wasiyyin
and son of the chief of the Prophets' successors.
اور اوصیاء کے سردار کے فرزند!
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ فَاطِمَةَ
as-salamu `alayka ya-bna fatimah
Peace be upon you, O son of Fatimah
سلام ہو آپ پر، اے فاطمہ کے فرزند
سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
sayyidati nisa'il-`alamin
the doyenne of the women of the worlds.
جو تمام جہانوں کی عورتوں کی سردار ہیں!
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ثَارَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱبْنَ ثَارِهِ وَٱلْوِتْرَ ٱلْمَوْتُورَ
as-salamu `alayka ya thara-llahi wa-bna tharihi wal-witral-mawtur
Peace be upon you, O vengeance of Allah, son of His vengeance, and the unavenged so far.
سلام ہو آپ پر، اے اللہ کے انتقام، اُس کے انتقام کے فرزند اور اُس مظلوم جس کا انتقام ابھی نہیں لیا گیا!
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ ٱلأَرْوَاحِ ٱلَّتِي حَلَّتْ بِفِنَائِكَ
as-salamu `alayka wa `alal-arwahillati hallat bi-fina'ik
Peace be upon you and upon the souls that resided in your courtyard.
سلام ہو آپ پر اور اُن ارواح پر جو آپ کے آستانے میں مقیم ہوئیں۔
عَلَيْكُمْ مِنِّي جَمِيعاً سَلاَمُ ٱللَّهِ أَبَداً
`alaykum minni jami`an salamu-llahi abada
Peace of Allah be upon all of you from me forever
میری طرف سے آپ سب پر ہمیشہ اللہ کا سلام ہو
مَا بَقيتُ وَبَقِيَ ٱللَّيْلُ وَٱلنَّهَارُ
ma baqitu wa baqiyal-laylu wan-nahar
as long as I am existent and as long as there are day and night.
جب تک میں باقی ہوں اور جب تک رات اور دن باقی ہیں۔
يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ
ya aba `abdillah
O Abu-`Abdullah,
اے ابا عبداللہ!
لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ ٱلرَّزِيَّةُ
laqad `azumatir-raziyyah
unbearable is the sorrow
یقیناً یہ مصیبت بہت عظیم ہے
وَجَلَّتْ وَعَظُمَتِ ٱلْمُصيبَةُ بِكَ
wa jallat wa `azumatil-musibatu bik
and excruciating and unbearable is the misfortune of you
اور آپ کی مصیبت نہایت سخت اور عظیم ہے
عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَىٰ جَمِيعِ أَهْلِ ٱلإِسْلاَمِ
`alayna wa `ala jami`i ahlil-islam
for us and for all the people of Islam.
ہم پر اور تمام اہلِ اسلام پر۔
وَجَلَّتْ وَعَظُمَتْ مُصيبَتُكَ
wa jallat wa `azumat musibatuk
Excruciating and unbearable has been your misfortune
اور آپ کی مصیبت نہایت سخت اور عظیم رہی ہے
فِي ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ عَلَىٰ جَمِيعِ أَهْلِ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ
fis-samawati `ala jami`i ahlis-samawat
in the heavens for all the inhabitants of the heavens.
آسمانوں میں، آسمانوں کے تمام باسیوں پر۔
فَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً أَسَّسَتْ أَسَاسَ ٱلظُّلْمِ وَٱلْجَوْرِ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ ٱلْبَيْتِ
fala`ana-llahu ummatan assasat asasaz-zulmi wal-jawri `alaykum ahlal-bayt
So, may Allah curse the people who laid the basis of persecution and wronging against you, O Members of the Household.
پس اللہ لعنت کرے اُس امت پر جس نے آپ اہلِ بیت پر ظلم و ستم کی بنیاد رکھی۔
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً دَفَعَتْكُمْ عَنْ مَقَامِكُمْ
wa la`ana-llahu ummatan dafa`atkum `an maqamikum
May Allah curse the people who drove you away from your position
اور اللہ لعنت کرے اُس امت پر جس نے آپ کو آپ کے مقام سے ہٹایا
وَأَزَالَتْكُمْ عَنْ مَرَاتِبِكُمُ ٱلَّتِي رَتَّبَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ فِيهَا
wa azalatkum `an maratibikumullati rattabakumullahu fiha
and removed you away from your ranks that Allah has put you in.
اور آپ کو اُن مراتب سے ہٹا دیا جن پر اللہ نے آپ کو فائز کیا تھا۔
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكُمْ
wa la`ana-llahu ummatan qatalatkum
May Allah curse the people who slew you.
اور اللہ لعنت کرے اُس امت پر جس نے آپ کو قتل کیا۔
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمُمَهِّدِينَ لَهُمْ
wa la`ana-llahul-mumahhidina lahum
May Allah curse those who paved the way for them to do so
اور اللہ لعنت کرے اُن پر جنہوں نے اُن کے لیے راستہ ہموار کیا
بِٱلتَّمْكِينِ مِنْ قِتَالِكُمْ
bit-tamkini min qitalikum
and who made possible for them to fight against you.
اور آپ سے جنگ کرنے کا موقع فراہم کیا۔
بَرِئْتُ إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ وَإِلَيْكُمْ مِنْهُمْ
bari'tu ilallahi wa ilaykum minhum
I repudiate them in the presence of Allah and You
میں اللہ اور آپ کے حضور اُن سے بیزاری کا اظہار کرتا ہوں
وَمِنْ أَشْيَاعِهِمْ وَأَتْبَاعِهِمْ وَأَوْلِيَائِهِمْ
wa min ashya`ihim wa atba`ihim wa awliya'ihim
and I repudiate their devotees, followers, and loyalists.
اور اُن کے حامیوں، پیروکاروں اور دوستوں سے بھی بیزاری کا اظہار کرتا ہوں۔
يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ
ya aba `abdillah
O Abu-`Abdullah,
اے ابا عبداللہ!
إِنِّي سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمَكُمْ
inni silmul-liman salamakum
I am at peace with those who are at peace with you
میں اُس کے ساتھ صلح میں ہوں جو آپ سے صلح رکھے
وَحَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَامَةِ
wa harbul-liman harabakum ila yawmil-qiyamah
and I am at war against those who have fought against you up to the Resurrection Day.
اور قیامت تک اُس کے خلاف جنگ میں ہوں جو آپ سے جنگ کرے۔
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ آلَ زِيَادٍ وَآلَ مَرْوَانَ
wa la`ana-llahu ala ziyadin wa ala marwan
May Allah also curse the family of Ziyad and the family of Marwan.
اور اللہ لعنت کرے آلِ زیاد اور آلِ مروان پر۔
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ قَاطِبَةً
wa la`ana-llahu bani umayyata qatibah
May Allah also curse the descendants of Umayyah altogether.
اور اللہ لعنت کرے بنی امیہ سب پر۔
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ ٱبْنَ مَرْجَانَةَ
wa la`ana-llahu-bna marjanah
May Allah also curse the son of Marjanah.
اور اللہ لعنت کرے ابنِ مرجانہ پر۔
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ عُمَرَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ
wa la`ana-llahu `umara bna sa`d
May Allah also curse `Umar the son of Sa`d.
اور اللہ لعنت کرے عمر بن سعد پر۔
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ شِمْراً
wa la`ana-llahu shimra
May Allah also curse Shimr.
اور اللہ لعنت کرے شمر پر۔
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً أَسْرَجَتْ وَأَلْجَمَتْ
wa la`ana-llahu ummatan asrajat wa aljamat
May Allah also curse the people who saddled up, gave reins to their horses,
اور اللہ لعنت کرے اُس امت پر جس نے گھوڑوں پر زین اور لگام کسی
وَتَنَقَّبَتْ لِقِتَالِكَ
wa tanaqqabat li-qitalik
and masked their faces in preparation for fighting against you.
اور آپ سے جنگ کے لیے اپنے چہرے چھپائے۔
بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي
bi-abi anta wa ummi
May my father and mother be ransoms for you.
میرے ماں باپ آپ پر قربان ہوں۔
لَقَدْ عَظُمَ مُصَابِي بِكَ
laqad `azuma musabi bik
Extremely insufferable is my commiserations with you;
آپ کی مصیبت میں میرا غم بہت عظیم ہے؛
فَأَسْأَلُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِي أَكْرَمَ مَقَامَكَ وَأَكْرَمَنِي بِكَ
fa-as'alu-llahal-ladhi akrama maqamaka wa akramani bik
so, I beseech Allah Who has honored your position and honored me because of you
پس میں اُس اللہ سے سوال کرتا ہوں جس نے آپ کے مقام کو معزز کیا اور آپ کے وسیلے سے مجھے معزز کیا
أَنْ يَرْزُقَنِي طَلَبَ ثَأْرِكَ
an yarzuqani talaba tha'rik
to endue me with the chance to avenge you
کہ وہ مجھے آپ کے خون کا بدلہ لینے کی توفیق عطا فرمائے
مَعَ إِمَامٍ مَنْصُورٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ
ma`a imamin mansurin min ahli bayti muhammad
with a (Divinely) supported leader from the Household of Muhammad,
آلِ محمد کے اُس امام کے ساتھ جس کی نصرت کی جائے گی،
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
salla-llahu `alayhi wa alih
peace of Allah be upon him and his Household.
اللہ کی رحمت ہو اُن پر اور اُن کی آل پر۔
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْنِي عِنْدَكَ وَجِيهاً
allahummaj-`alni `indaka wajiha
O Allah, (please) make me illustrious in Your sight
اے اللہ! مجھے اپنے ہاں معزز بنا دے
بِٱلْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلاَمُ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ
bil-husayni `alayhis-salamu fid-dunya wal-akhirah
in the name of al-Husayn, peace be upon him, in this world and in the Hereafter.
حسین علیہ السلام کے وسیلے سے، دنیا اور آخرت میں۔
يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ
ya aba `abdillah
O Abu-`Abdullah,
اے ابا عبداللہ!
إِنِّي أَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ وَإِلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ
inni ataqarrabu ilallahi wa ila rasulih
I do seek nearness to Allah, to His Messenger,
میں اللہ اور اُس کے رسول کا قرب چاہتا ہوں،
وَإِلَىٰ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِلَىٰ فَاطِمَةَ
wa ila amiril-mu'minina wa ila fatimah
to the Commander of the Faithful, to Fatimah,
امیر المومنین اور فاطمہ کا قرب چاہتا ہوں،
وَإِلَىٰ ٱلْحَسَنِ وَإِلَيْكَ بِمُوَالاَتِكَ
wa ilal-hasani wa ilayka bi-muwalatik
to al-Hasan, and to you by means of loyalty to you
حسن کا اور آپ کا قرب چاہتا ہوں آپ سے وفاداری کے ذریعے
وَبِٱلْبَرَاءَةِ مِمَّنْ قَاتَلَكَ
wa bil-bara'ati mimman qatalak
and by means of repudiation of those who fought against you
اور اُس سے بیزاری کے ذریعے جس نے آپ سے جنگ کی
وَنَصَبَ لَكَ ٱلْحَرْبَ
wa nasaba lakal-harb
and incurred your hostility,
اور آپ کے خلاف جنگ برپا کی،
وَبِٱلْبَرَاءَةِ مِمَّنْ أَسَّسَ أَسَاسَ ٱلظُّلْمِ وَٱلْجَوْرِ عَلَيْكُمْ
wa bil-bara'ati mimman assasa asasaz-zulmi wal-jawri `alaykum
and repudiation of those who laid the basis of persecution and wronging against you all.
اور اُس سے بیزاری کے ذریعے جس نے آپ سب پر ظلم و ستم کی بنیاد رکھی۔
وَأَبْرَأُ إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ وَإِلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ
wa abra'u ilallahi wa ila rasulih
I also repudiate, in the presence of Allah and His Messenger,
اور میں اللہ اور اُس کے رسول کے حضور بیزاری کا اظہار کرتا ہوں
مِمَّنْ أَسَّسَ أَسَاسَ ذٰلِكَ
mimman assasa asasa dhalik
those who laid the basis of all that,
اُس سے جس نے اِس (ظلم) کی بنیاد رکھی،
وَبَنَىٰ عَلَيْهِ بُنْيَانَهُ
wa bana `alayhi bunyanah
established their foundations on it,
اور اُس پر اپنی عمارت تعمیر کی،
وَجَرَىٰ فِي ظُلْمِهِ وَجَوْرِهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعلىٰ أَشْيَاعِكُمْ
wa jara fi zulmihi wa jawrihi `alaykum wa `ala ashya`ikum
and continued in wronging and persecuting you and your adherents.
اور آپ پر اور آپ کے پیروکاروں پر ظلم و ستم جاری رکھا۔
بَرِئْتُ إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ وَإِلَيْكُمْ مِنْهُمْ
bari'tu ilallahi wa ilaykum minhum
In the presence of Allah and you all do I repudiate these.
اللہ اور آپ سب کے حضور میں اُن سے بیزاری کا اظہار کرتا ہوں۔
وَأَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ إِلَيْكُمْ
wa ataqarrabu ilallahi thumma ilaykum
And I seek nearness to Allah and then to you all
اور میں اللہ کا قرب چاہتا ہوں پھر آپ سب کا قرب
بِمُوَالاَتِكُمْ وَمُوَالاَةِ وَلِيِّكُمْ
bi-muwalatikum wa muwalati waliyyikum
by means of declaring loyalty to you and to your loyalists
آپ سے اور آپ کے دوستوں سے وفاداری کے ذریعے
وَبِٱلْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ أَعْدَائِكُمْ
wa bil-bara'ati min a`da'ikum
and declaring repudiation of your enemies
اور آپ کے دشمنوں سے بیزاری کے ذریعے
وَٱلنَّاصِبِينَ لَكُمُ ٱلْحَرْبَ
wan-nasibina lakumul-harb
and those who incur animosity of you
اور اُن سے جو آپ کے خلاف دشمنی رکھتے ہیں
وَبِٱلْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ أَشْيَاعِهِمْ وَأَتْبَاعِهِمْ
wa bil-bara'ati min ashya`ihim wa atba`ihim
and repudiation of their adherents and followers.
اور اُن کے حامیوں اور پیروکاروں سے بیزاری کے ذریعے۔
إِنِّي سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمَكُمْ
inni silmul-liman salamakum
I am verily at peace with those who have been at peace with you,
بے شک میں اُس کے ساتھ صلح میں ہوں جو آپ سے صلح رکھے،
وَحَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ
wa harbul-liman harabakum
I am at war against those who fought against you,
اور اُس کے خلاف جنگ میں ہوں جو آپ سے جنگ کرے،
وَوَلِيٌّ لِمَنْ وَالاَكُمْ
wa waliyyul-liman walakum
loyalist to those who have been loyalist to you,
اور اُس کا دوست ہوں جو آپ سے دوستی رکھے،
وَعَدُوٌّ لِمَنْ عَادَاكُمْ
wa `aduwwul-liman `adakum
and enemy of those who have shown enmity towards you.
اور اُس کا دشمن ہوں جو آپ سے دشمنی رکھے۔
فَأَسْأَلُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِي أَكْرَمَنِي بِمَعْرِفَتِكُمْ
fa-as'alu-llahal-ladhi akramani bi-ma`rifatikum
So, I beseech Allah Who has endued me with the honor of recognizing you
پس میں اُس اللہ سے سوال کرتا ہوں جس نے مجھے آپ کی معرفت سے سرفراز کیا
وَمَعْرِفَةِ أَوْلِيَائِكُمْ
wa ma`rifati awliya'ikum
and recognizing your loyalists
اور آپ کے دوستوں کی معرفت سے
وَرَزَقَنِيَ ٱلْبَرَاءَةَ مِنْ أَعْدَائِكُمْ
wa razaqaniyal-bara'ata min a`da'ikum
and Who conferred upon me with repudiation of your enemies,
اور جس نے مجھے آپ کے دشمنوں سے بیزاری کی توفیق عطا کی،
أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مَعَكُمْ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ
an yaj`alani ma`akum fid-dunya wal-akhirah
to include me with you in this world and in the Hereafter
کہ وہ مجھے دنیا و آخرت میں آپ کے ساتھ رکھے
وَأَنْ يُثَبِّتَ لِي عِنْدَكُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ
wa an yuthabbita li `indakum qadama sidq
and to make firm step of honesty for me with you
اور میرے لیے آپ کے پاس سچائی کا قدم ثابت رکھے
فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ
fid-dunya wal-akhirah
in this world and in the Hereafter.
دنیا اور آخرت میں۔
وَأَسْأَلُهُ أَنْ يُبَلِّغَنِيَ ٱلْمَقَامَ ٱلْمَحْمُودَ لَكُمْ عِنْدَ ٱللَّهِ
wa as'aluhu an yuballighaniyal-maqamal-mahmuda lakum `indallah
I also beseech Him to make me attain the praiseworthy status that you enjoy with Allah
اور میں اُس سے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ وہ مجھے وہ محمود مقام عطا کرے جو آپ کو اللہ کے ہاں حاصل ہے
وَأَنْ يَرْزُقَنِي طَلَبَ ثَأْرِي
wa an yarzuqani talaba tha'ri
and to bestow upon me with the chance to take my own vengeance
اور مجھے میرا انتقام لینے کی توفیق عطا کرے
مَعَ إِمَامِ هُدىًٰ ظَاهِرٍ
ma`a imami hudan zahir
with a leader of true guidance who is (Divinely) sustained
ہدایت کے ظاہر امام کے ساتھ
نَاطِقٍ بِٱلْحَقِّ مِنْكُمْ
natiqin bil-haqqi minkum
and expressing the truth from among you.
جو آپ میں سے حق بولنے والا ہو۔
وَأَسْأَلُ ٱللَّهَ بِحَقِّكُمْ
wa as'alu-llaha bi-haqqikum
I also beseech Allah in your names
اور میں اللہ سے آپ کے حق کے واسطے سے سوال کرتا ہوں
وَبِٱلشَّأْنِ ٱلَّذِي لَكُمْ عِنْدَهُ
wa bish-sha'nil-ladhi lakum `indah
and in the name of the standing that you enjoy with Him
اور اُس مرتبے کے واسطے سے جو آپ کو اُس کے ہاں حاصل ہے
أَنْ يُعْطِيَنِي بِمُصَابِي بِكُمْ
an yu`tiyani bi-musabi bikum
to recompense me for my commiserations for you
کہ وہ مجھے آپ کی مصیبت پر
أَفْضَلَ مَا يُعْطِي مُصَاباً بِمُصِيبَتِهِ
afdala ma yu`ti musaban bi-musibatih
with the most favorite thing that He ever gives as compensation for misfortunes that has afflicted anyone.
اُس سے بہترین اجر عطا کرے جو وہ کسی مصیبت زدہ کو اُس کی مصیبت پر عطا کرتا ہے۔
مُصِيبَةً مَا أَعْظَمَهَا
musibatan ma a`zamaha
(Your) misfortune has been so astounding
یہ مصیبت کتنی عظیم ہے
وَأَعْظَمَ رَزِيَّتَهَا فِي ٱلإِسْلاَمِ
wa a`zama raziyyataha fil-islam
and so catastrophic for Islam
اور اسلام میں اِس کا صدمہ کتنا عظیم ہے
وَفِي جَمِيعِ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلأَرْضِ
wa fi jami`is-samawati wal-ard
and for all the heavens and the entire earth.
اور تمام آسمانوں اور زمین میں۔
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْنِي فِي مَقَامِي هٰذَا
allahummaj-`alni fi maqami hadha
O Allah, (please) make me in this situation of mine
اے اللہ! مجھے میری اِس حالت میں
مِمَّنْ تَنَالُهُ مِنْكَ صَلَوَاتٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ
mimman tanaluhu minka salawatun wa rahmatun wa maghfirah
one of those who receive blessings, mercy, and forgiveness from You.
اُن لوگوں میں سے بنا جن پر تیری رحمتیں، رحم اور مغفرت نازل ہوں۔
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْ مَحْيَايَ مَحْيَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allahummaj-`al mahyaya mahya muhammadin wa ali muhammad
O Allah, (please) make me live my lifetime in the same way as Muhammad and Muhammad's Household lived
اے اللہ! میری زندگی کو محمد اور آلِ محمد کی زندگی جیسا بنا دے
وَمَمَاتِي مَمَاتَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
wa mamati mamata muhammadin wa ali muhammad
and make me die on the same principles on which Muhammad and Muhammad's Household died.
اور میری موت کو محمد اور آلِ محمد کی موت جیسا بنا دے۔
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ هٰذَا يَوْمٌ
allahumma inna hadha yawm
O Allah, this day
اے اللہ! یہ وہ دن ہے
تَبَرَّكَتْ بِهِ بَنُو أُمَيَّةَ
tabarrakat bihi banu umayyah
has been regarded as blessed day by the descendants of Umayyah
جسے بنی امیہ نے بابرکت سمجھا
وَٱبْنُ آكِلَةِ ٱلأَكبَادِ
wa-bnu akilatil-akbad
and by the son of the liver-eater woman,
اور جگر خوار عورت کے بیٹے نے،
ٱللَّعِينُ ٱبْنُ ٱللَّعِينِ
al-la`inu-bnul-la`in
the accursed and son of the accursed
جو ملعون اور ملعون کا بیٹا ہے
عَلَىٰ لِسَانِكَ وَلِسَانِ نَبِيِّكَ
`ala lisanika wa lisani nabiyyik
by the tongue of You and by the tongue of Your Prophet,
تیری زبان اور تیرے نبی کی زبان سے،
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
salla-llahu `alayhi wa alih
Allah's peace be upon him,
اللہ کی رحمت ہو اُن پر اور اُن کی آل پر،
فِي كُلِّ مَوْطِنٍ وَمَوْقِفٍ
fi kulli mawtinin wa mawqif
on every occasion and in every situation,
ہر موقع اور ہر مقام پر،
وَقَفَ فِيهِ نَبِيُّكَ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
waqafa fihi nabiyyuka salla-llahu `alayhi wa alih
which Your Prophet, Allah's peace be upon him, attended.
جہاں تیرا نبی موجود رہا، اللہ کی رحمت ہو اُن پر اور اُن کی آل پر۔
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱلْعَنْ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ وَمُعَاوِيَةَ وَيَزيدَ بْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ
allahummal-`an aba sufyana wa mu`awiyata wa yazida bna mu`awiyah
O Allah, pour curses upon Abu-Sufyan, Mu`awiyah, and Yazid son of Mu`awiyah.
اے اللہ! ابو سفیان، معاویہ اور یزید بن معاویہ پر لعنت فرما۔
عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْكَ ٱللَّعْنَةُ أَبَدَ ٱلآبِدِينَ
`alayhim minkal-la`natu abadal-abidin
May Your curse be upon them incessantly and everlastingly.
اُن پر تیری لعنت ہمیشہ ہمیشہ کے لیے ہو۔
وَهٰذَا يَوْمٌ فَرِحَتْ بِهِ آلُ زِيَادٍ وَآلُ مَرْوَانَ
wa hadha yawmun farihat bihi alu ziyadin wa alu marwan
This is the day on which the family of Ziyad and the family of Marwan gloated
یہ وہ دن ہے جس پر آلِ زیاد اور آلِ مروان نے خوشی منائی
بِقَتْلِهِمُ ٱلْحُسَيْنَ صَلَوَاتُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ
bi-qatlihimul-husayna salawatu-llahi `alayh
because they had killed al-Husayn, Allah's blessings be upon him.
کیونکہ اُنہوں نے حسین کو قتل کیا، اللہ کی رحمتیں ہوں اُن پر۔
اَللَّهُمَّ فَضَاعِفْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱللَّعْنَ مِنْكَ
allahumma fada`if `alayhimul-la`na mink
So, O Allah, pour frequent curses upon them
پس اے اللہ! اُن پر اپنی لعنت کو کئی گنا بڑھا دے
وَٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلأَلِيمَ
wal-`adhabal-alim
and double for them the painful chastisement.
اور اُن پر دردناک عذاب نازل فرما۔
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيْكَ فِي هٰذَا ٱلْيَوْمِ
allahumma inni ataqarrabu ilayka fi hadhal-yawm
O Allah, I do seek nearness to You on this day,
اے اللہ! میں اِس دن تیرا قرب چاہتا ہوں،
وَفِي مَوْقِفِي هٰذَا
wa fi mawqifi hadha
on this occasion,
اور اِس موقع پر،
وَأَيَّامِ حَيَاتِي
wa ayyami hayati
and on all the days of my lifetime,
اور اپنی زندگی کے تمام دنوں میں،
بِٱلْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْهُمْ وَٱللَّعْنَةِ عَلَيْهِمْ
bil-bara'ati minhum wal-la`nati `alayhim
by repudiating these and invoking Your curses upon them,
اُن سے بیزاری اور اُن پر لعنت بھیجنے کے ذریعے،
وَبِٱلْمُوَالاَةِ لِنَبِيِّكَ وَآلِ نَبِيِّكَ
wa bil-muwalati li-nabiyyika wa ali nabiyyik
and by declaring loyalty to Your Prophet and Your Prophet's Household,
اور تیرے نبی اور تیرے نبی کی آل سے وفاداری کے ذریعے،
عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ
`alayhi wa `alayhimus-salam
peace be upon him and them.
اُن پر اور اُن سب پر سلامتی ہو۔
(Repeat the following Laan — "اللھم العن اول ظالم" — 100 times or once)
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱلْعَنْ أَوَّلَ ظَالِمٍ
allahummal-`an awwala zalim
O Allah, pour curses upon the foremost persecutor
اے اللہ! پہلے ظالم پر لعنت فرما
ظَلَمَ حَقَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
zalama haqqa muhammadin wa ali muhammad
who usurped the right of Muhammad and Muhammad's Household
جس نے محمد اور آلِ محمد کے حق پر ظلم کیا
وَآخِرَ تَابِعٍ لَهُ عَلَىٰ ذٰلِكَ
wa akhira tabi`in lahu `ala dhalik
and the last follower who acceded to his deed.
اور اُس آخری پیروکار پر جو اُس کے اِس فعل پر اُس کی پیروی کرتا رہا۔
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱلْعَنِ ٱلْعِصَابَةَ ٱلَّتِي جَاهَدَتِ ٱلْحُسَيْنَ
allahummal-`anil-`isabatal-lati jahadatil-husayn
O Allah, pour curses upon the gang that struggled against al-Husayn
اے اللہ! اُس گروہ پر لعنت فرما جس نے حسین کے خلاف جدوجہد کی
وَشَايَعَتْ وَبَايَعَتْ وَتَابَعَتْ عَلَىٰ قَتْلِهِ
wa shaya`at wa baya`at wa taba`at `ala qatlih
and who supported each other against him, paid homage to his enemies, and participated in slaying him.
اور اُس کے قتل پر ایک دوسرے کی حمایت کی، بیعت کی اور پیروی کی۔
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱلْعَنْهُمْ جَمِيعاً
allahummal-`anhum jami`a
O Allah, pour curses upon all of them.
اے اللہ! اُن سب پر لعنت فرما۔
(Repeat the following Salam — "السلام علیک یا اباعبداللہ" — 100 times or once)
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya aba `abdillah
Peace be upon you, O Abu-`Abdullah
سلام ہو آپ پر، اے ابا عبداللہ
وَعَلَىٰ ٱلأَرْوَاحِ ٱلَّتِي حَلَّتْ بِفِنَائِكَ
wa `alal-arwahillati hallat bi-fina'ik
and upon the souls that gathered in your courtyard.
اور اُن ارواح پر جو آپ کے آستانے میں جمع ہوئیں۔
عَلَيْكَ مِنِّي سَلاَمُ ٱللَّهِ أَبَداً
`alayka minni salamu-llahi abada
Peace of Allah be upon you from me forever
میری طرف سے آپ پر ہمیشہ اللہ کا سلام ہو
مَا بَقيتُ وَبَقِيَ ٱللَّيْلُ وَٱلنَّهَارُ
ma baqitu wa baqiyal-laylu wan-nahar
as long as I am existent and as long as there are day and night.
جب تک میں باقی ہوں اور جب تک رات اور دن باقی ہیں۔
وَلاَ جَعَلَهُ ٱللَّهُ آخِرَ ٱلْعَهْدِ مِنِّي لِزِيَارَتِكُمْ
wa la ja`alahu-llahu akhiral-`ahdi minni li-ziyaratikum
May Allah not cause this (visit) to be the last of my visit to you (all).
اور اللہ اِسے میری طرف سے آپ کی زیارت کا آخری موقع نہ بنائے۔
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ
as-salamu `alal-husayn
Peace be upon al-Husayn,
سلام ہو حسین پر،
وَعَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ
wa `ala `aliyyi bnil-husayn
upon `Ali ibn al-Husayn,
اور علی بن حسین پر،
وَعَلَىٰ أَوْلاَدِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ
wa `ala awladil-husayn
upon the sons of al-Husayn,
اور اولادِ حسین پر،
وَعَلَىٰ أَصْحَابِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ
wa `ala ashabil-husayn
and upon the companions of al-Husayn.
اور اصحابِ حسین پر۔
(You may then say the following)
اَللَّهُمَّ خُصَّ أَنْتَ أَوَّلَ ظَالِمٍ بِٱللَّعْنِ مِنِّي
allahumma khussa anta awwala zalimin bil-la`ni minni
O Allah, pour special curses on the foremost persecutor
اے اللہ! میری طرف سے پہلے ظالم کو خاص طور پر لعنت کا نشانہ بنا
وَٱبْدَأْ بِهِ أَوَّلًا
wabda' bihi awwala
and begin with him first,
اور سب سے پہلے اُسی سے آغاز کر،
ثُمَّ ٱلْعَنِ ٱلثَّانِيَ وَٱلثَّالِثَ وَٱلرَّابِعَ
thummal-`anith-thaniya wath-thalitha war-rabi`
and then pour curses on the second, the third, and the fourth.
پھر دوسرے، تیسرے اور چوتھے پر لعنت فرما۔
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱلْعَنْ يَزِيدَ خَامِساً
allahummal-`an yazida khamisa
O Allah, curse Yazid fifthly,
اے اللہ! پانچویں نمبر پر یزید پر لعنت فرما،
وَٱلْعَنْ عُبَيْدَ ٱللَّهِ بْنَ زِيَادٍ وَٱبْنَ مَرْجَانَةَ
wal-`an `ubayda-llahi bna ziyadin wa-bna marjanah
and curse `Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad, the son of Marjanah,
اور عبیداللہ بن زیاد، ابنِ مرجانہ پر لعنت فرما،
وَعُمَرَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ وَشِمْراً
wa `umara bna sa`din wa shimra
`Umar ibn Sa`d, Shimr,
عمر بن سعد اور شمر پر،
وَآلَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَآلَ زِيَادٍ وَآلَ مَرْوَانَ
wa ala abi sufyana wa ala ziyadin wa ala marwan
the family of Abu-Sufyan, the family of Ziyad, and the family of Marwan
آلِ ابو سفیان، آلِ زیاد اور آلِ مروان پر
إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَامَةِ
ila yawmil-qiyamah
up to the Resurrection Day.
قیامت تک۔
(You may then prostrate yourself and say the following words)
اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ
allahumma lakal-hamd
O Allah, all praise be to You;
اے اللہ! ہر تعریف تیرے ہی لیے ہے؛
حَمْدَ ٱلشَّاكِرِينَ لَكَ عَلَىٰ مُصَابِهِمْ
hamdash-shakirina laka `ala musabihim
the praise of those who thank You for their misfortunes.
اُن کی تعریف جو اپنی مصیبتوں پر تیرا شکر ادا کرتے ہیں۔
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَىٰ عَظِيمِ رَزِيَّتِي
alhamdu lillahi `ala `azimi raziyyati
All praise be to Allah for my great misfortune.
اللہ کی تعریف ہو میری عظیم مصیبت پر۔
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱرْزُقْنِي شَفَاعَةَ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ يَوْمَ ٱلْوُرُودِ
allahummar-zuqni shafa`atal-husayni yawmal-wurud
O Allah, (please) grant me the intercession of al-Husayn on the Day of Coming (to You)
اے اللہ! مجھے حاضری کے دن حسین کی شفاعت عطا فرما
وَثَبِّتْ لِي قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَكَ
wa thabbit li qadama sidqin `indak
and make for me with You a firm step of honesty
اور میرے لیے اپنے ہاں سچائی کا قدم ثابت رکھ
مَعَ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ وَأَصْحَابِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ
ma`al-husayni wa ashabil-husayn
with al-Husayn and the companions of al-Husayn
حسین اور اصحابِ حسین کے ساتھ
ٱلَّذينَ بَذَلُوٱ مُهَجَهُمْ دُونَ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلاَمُ
alladhina badhalu muhajahum dunal-husayni `alayhis-salam
who sacrificed their souls in defense of al-Husayn, peace be upon him.
جنہوں نے حسین علیہ السلام کی خاطر اپنی جانیں قربان کر دیں۔
