Parwardigar banda-e-ajiz ki hai sadaa
De hausla, sambhal le mujhko mere Khuda
Kuch bhi raha na paas mere, sab bikhar gaya
Saathi koi Hussain ka baqi nahi raha
Haaye,
Aansu yeh keh rahe hain ke Akbar kahan gaya?
Gehwara puchta hai ke Asghar kahan gaya?
Baazu mera woh Sani-e-Haider kahan gaya?
Abbas ke jo saath tha lashkar kahan gaya?

Koi nahi raha to bhala kya jiyunga main
Socha na tha ke jung akele larunga main
Kaise haram ki tanha hifazat karunga main
Kaise namaz-e-Asr akele padhunga main

Aisa hoon be-watan ke ab apna nahi koi
Ghere hue hain charon taraf se mujhe shaqi
Haaye yeh bekasi meri, haaye yeh bebasi
Main ek shab bhi chain se soya nahi kabhi

Maana ke lut gaya mera ghar baar aye Khuda
Lekin tere Nabi ke nawase ki hai dua
Main is tarah se haq-e-shahadat karun adaa
Zinda rahe dilon mein hamesha yeh Karbala
اِنّا لِلّٰہی وَ اِنّا اِلَیہِ رَاجِعُون ×2
ہونا تو یہی تھا، وعدہ تو یہی تھا ×2
سب بکھر گئے، سب اجڑ گئے

میرا وعدہ تو یہی تھا
اِنّا لِلّٰہ، اِنّا لِلّٰہ

ہائے،
پروردگار بندۂ عاجز کی ہے صدا
دے حوصلہ، سنبھال لے مجھ کو میرے خدا
کچھ بھی رہا نہ پاس میرے، سب بکھر گیا
ساتھی کوئی حسین کا باقی نہیں رہا
ہائے،
آنسو یہ کہہ رہے ہیں کہ اکبر کہاں گیا؟
گہوارہ پوچھتا ہے کہ اصغر کہاں گیا؟
بازو میرا وہ ثانیِ حیدر کہاں گیا؟
عباس کے جو ساتھ تھا لشکر کہاں گیا؟
کوئی نہیں رہا ×2
کوئی نہیں رہا تو بھلا کیا جیوں گا میں
سوچا نہ تھا کہ جنگ اکیلے لڑوں گا میں
کیسے حرم کی تنہا حفاظت کروں گا میں
کیسے نمازِ عصر اکیلے پڑھوں گا میں
ہائے،
ایسا ہوں بے وطن کہ اب اپنا نہیں کوئی
گھیرے ہوئے ہیں چاروں طرف سے مجھے شقی
ہائے یہ بے کسی میری، ہائے یہ بے بسی
میں ایک شب بھی چین سے سویا نہیں کبھی
ہائے،
مانا کہ لٹ گیا میرا گھر بار اے خدا
لیکن تیرے نبی کے نواسے کی ہے دعا
میں اس طرح سے حقِ شہادت کروں ادا
زندہ رہے دلوں میں ہمیشہ یہ کربلا
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return ×2
This was bound to happen; this was the promise ×2
Everything has scattered, everything has been ruined.

Alas,
O Lord, this is the cry of Your helpless servant.
Give me strength; support me, my God.
Nothing remains with me now; everything has fallen apart.
No companion of Hussain remains.
Alas,
These tears are asking: where has Akbar gone?
The cradle is asking: where has Asghar gone?
Where has my arm, that second Haider, gone?
Where has the army that stood with Abbas gone?
No one remains ×2
If no one remains, then how shall I live?
I never thought I would fight this battle alone.
How will I protect the sacred household alone?
How will I offer the Asr prayer alone?
Alas,
I am so exiled that no one is now my own.
The cruel ones have surrounded me from every side.
Alas, my helplessness; alas, my powerlessness.
I have never slept even one night in peace.
Alas,
I accept that my entire home and family have been plundered, O God.
But this is the prayer of Your Prophet’s grandson:
May I fulfil the right of martyrdom in such a way
That this Karbala remains alive forever in the hearts.
