Sajjad, Sajjad ×4 Alas, my Sajjad ×4 My Maula has entered the marketplace. Alas, my Sajjad ×2 The ladies are with him; what can the weak one do? Alas, my Sajjad ×2 My Maula is bound in chains. The entire captive family is with him. Whoever saw him also began to weep ×2 The whole marketplace wept blood for my Maula. Alas, my Sajjad ×2 My Maula has entered the marketplace. Alas, my Sajjad ×2 Sayyed-e-Sajjad ×2 In the land of the oppressors, he is a stranger. There is no Akbar, no bearer of the standard. The one whose eyes wept through the night has arrived ×2 My Maula came into the court with the veiled ladies. Alas, my Sajjad ×2 The ladies are with him; what can the weak one do? Alas, my Sajjad ×2 When that captive family arrived, They saw the city of Shaam laughing. The entire crowd was like a marketplace spectacle ×2 My grief-stricken Maula never forgot that whole scene. Alas, my Sajjad ×2 My Maula has entered the marketplace. Alas, my Sajjad ×2 Sayyed-e-Sajjad ×2 The captive of Shaam, full of honour and dignity, The wounded father of Baqir, Came walking alongside Zainab ×2 My Maula came as the guardian of the veiled ladies’ grief. Alas, my Sajjad ×2 The ladies are with him; what can the weak one do? Alas, my Sajjad ×2 My Maula is wounded, deeply wounded. His heart is torn into pieces. He came after bearing lashes ×2 My Maula came after suffering oppression again and again. Alas, my Sajjad ×2 My Maula has entered the marketplace. Alas, my Sajjad ×2
