Hussaina Hussaina Mazloom-e-Karb-o-Bala ×4
Hussain Hussain Ya Hussain Ya Hussain Jaan Hussain ×2
Sada rahegi tumhari yeh Azadari
Haye Hussain Ibn-e-Ali
Dilon mein gham ho, labon par ho sada jaari
Haye Hussain Ibn-e-Ali
Dilon mein gham ho, labon par ho sada jaari
Haye Hussain Ibn-e-Ali
Hussain Hussain Ya Hussain Ya Hussain Jaan Hussain
Jab talak saans chale, jab talak jaan rahe
Dilon mein yaad rahe hamesha tumhari
Haye Hussain Ibn-e-Ali
Woh Hussain Ibn-e-Ali, Dilbar-e-Salle Ala
Jo sar-e-Karb-o-Bala be-khata maara gaya
Apna sab deen ke liye jis ne qurban kiya
Pyaasa duniya se gaya, be-kafan bhi jo raha
Sara zamana karta rahega yeh aah-o-zari
Haye Hussain Ibn-e-Ali
Kehta hai sara jahan Badshah Ast Hussain
Kehte hain peer-o-jawan Rehnuma Ast Hussain
Hai yehi wird-e-zabaan Deen Panah Ast Hussain
Keh rahi hai yeh Aazan Lailah Ast Hussain
Sitam hai aap si hasti pe sitam jaari
Haye Hussain Ibn-e-Ali
Jab Sakina ne kaha haye pyase hain Chacha
Pani laane ke liye phir Alamdar gaya
Shor darya pe hua, Bawafa maara gaya
Haye matam tha bapa, goonji Zainab ki sada
Akela reh gaya aada mein mera bhai
Haye Hussain Ibn-e-Ali
Uska matam hai bapa jis ki hai Karb-o-Bala
Kalma Quran ke liye jis ne sab waar diya
Kabhi Bazaar-e-Jafa, kabhi Darbar-e-Jafa
Hai aaj bhi yeh Zainab ki sada jaari
Haye Hussain Ibn-e-Ali
Dilon mein gham ho, labon par ho sada jaari
Haye Hussain Ibn-e-Ali
Sada rahegi tumhari yeh Azadari
Haye Hussain Ibn-e-Ali
Alas, Hussain Ibn-e-Ali.
Hussaina, Hussaina, the oppressed one of Karbala ×4
Hussain, Hussain, Ya Hussain, Ya Hussain, beloved Hussain ×2
May your Azadari remain forever.
Alas, Hussain Ibn-e-Ali.
May grief remain in hearts, and may the call remain upon lips.
Alas, Hussain Ibn-e-Ali.
With weeping and crying, even today, what is this sound of mourning?
This is the grief of Hussain — alas.
May grief remain in hearts, and may the call remain upon lips.
Alas, Hussain Ibn-e-Ali.
Hussain, Hussain, Ya Hussain, Ya Hussain, beloved Hussain.
Whether we remain or not, may this grief remain alive.
At every step, may Karbala be remembered again and again.
As long as breath continues, as long as life remains,
May this chain continue, may the mourning of the Shah never stop.
May your remembrance always remain in our hearts.
Alas, Hussain Ibn-e-Ali.
That Hussain Ibn-e-Ali, the beloved of the highest blessings,
Who was killed without fault on the land of Karbala.
He sacrificed everything for the sake of religion.
He left this world thirsty, and remained without a shroud.
The whole world will continue this lamentation.
Alas, Hussain Ibn-e-Ali.
The whole world says: Hussain is the King.
The old and the young say: Hussain is the guide.
This is the constant recitation upon every tongue: Hussain is the protector of faith.
This Aazan is saying: Lailah Ast Hussain.
How cruel it is that oppression continues against a being like you.
Alas, Hussain Ibn-e-Ali.
When Sakina said, “Alas, Uncle, we are thirsty,”
The Alamdar went to bring water.
A cry rose at the river: the loyal one has been killed.
Alas, mourning was raised, and Zainab’s call echoed:
“My brother has been left alone among the enemies.”
Alas, Hussain Ibn-e-Ali.
Mourning is held for the one whose land is Karbala.
For the Kalma and the Quran, he gave everything.
The one whose Akbar was gone, whose Asghar was gone,
Whose Ghazi was gone, whose army was gone.
It was the time of Asr, and there was your loneliness.
Alas, Hussain Ibn-e-Ali.
After the Shah, what did not happen? Ask Zainab for a moment.
She bore every cruelty upon her heart, just like her brother.
Sometimes the bazaar of oppression, sometimes the court of oppression.
Through her sermons, she kept the grief of the Shah alive forever.
Even today, this call of Zainab continues.
Alas, Hussain Ibn-e-Ali.
May grief remain in hearts, and may the call remain upon lips.
Alas, Hussain Ibn-e-Ali.
May your Azadari remain forever.
Alas, Hussain Ibn-e-Ali.
