Khud pursa Zehra leti hai is Noor-e-Ain ka
Rona sawab jis pe, na rona haraam hai

Zakir ke lab pe pehle Khuda ka kalaam hai
Chashm-e-Khuda mein iska bada ehteraam hai...
In Majlison mein hoti hai insaniyat ki baat

Is Majlis-e-Hussain ka Sarwar hai Nohakhwan
Thakti nahi hai Zikr-e-Hussaini mein yun zubaan
Ghutti mein Ashk-e-Gham ko pilati rahi hai maa
Walid ne di hai kaan mein Nohon ki woh Azaan
Rehan jis se saare zamane mein naam hai

یہ مجلسِ حسین
ہے سوگ جس جگہ بھی شاہِ مشرقین کا
خود پرسہ زہرا لیتی ہے اس نورِ عین کا
رونا ثواب جس پہ، نہ رونا حرام ہے
چشمِ خدا میں اس کا بڑا احترام ہے
یہ مجلسِ حسین علیہ السلام ہے
چشمِ خدا میں اس کا بڑا احترام ہے
یہ مجلسیں ہیں حمدِ خدا، نعتِ مصطفیٰ
ان مجلسوں میں ہوتا ہے قرآن لب کشا
ان مجلسوں سے ملتا ہے جنت کا راستہ
ان مجلسوں کی ہوتی ہے کچھ ایسے ابتدا
ذاکر کے لب پہ پہلے خدا کا کلام ہے
چشمِ خدا میں اس کا بڑا احترام ہے۔۔۔
ان مجلسوں میں ہوتی ہے انسانیت کی بات
ذکرِ غمِ حسین ہے وحدانیت کی بات
یہ مجلسیں رسول کی حقانیت کی بات
رد کرتی ہیں یہ مجلسیں سفیانیت کی بات
ان کے سبب تو حر بھی علیہ السلام ہے
چشمِ خدا میں اس کا بڑا احترام ہے۔۔۔
ان مجلسوں کو اجرِ رسالت کہا گیا
روزِ ازل سے رونے کو فطرت کہا گیا
دل کی لغت میں اس کو محبت کہا گیا
یعنی اسے بتول کی سنت کہا گیا
ہر رونے والی آنکھ کو میرا سلام ہے
چشمِ خدا میں اس کا بڑا احترام ہے۔۔۔
ایک مجلسِ عزا جو ہوئی ملکِ شام میں
زینب نے صف بچھائی تھی یادِ امام میں
آنسو چھپے ہوئے تھے شہیدوں کے نام میں
ماتم ہوا جو یادِ شاہِ تشنہ کام میں
تب سے غمِ حسین زمانے میں عام ہے
چشمِ خدا میں اس کا بڑا احترام ہے۔۔۔
مجلس میں ذکرِ بالی سکینہ کیا کرو
پانی پیو تو یاد شاہِ کربلا کی ہو
مجلس میں تذکرہ علی اصغر کا جب سنو
ایک آہِ سرد بھر کے تڑپ کر یہی کہو
اصغر بڑا شہیدوں میں تیرا مقام ہے
چشمِ خدا میں اس کا بڑا احترام ہے۔۔۔
اس مجلسِ حسین کا سرور ہے نوحہ خواں
تھکتی نہیں ہے ذکرِ حسینی میں یوں زباں
گھٹی میں اشکِ غم کو پلاتی رہی ہے ماں
والد نے دی ہے کان میں نوحوں کی وہ اذاں
ریحان جس سے سارے زمانے میں نام ہے
چشمِ خدا میں اس کا بڑا احترام ہے
یہ مجلسِ حسین علیہ السلام ہے

This is the Majlis of Hussain.
Wherever there is mourning for the King of the two Easts,
Zahra herself receives the condolence for the light of her eyes.
To weep for him is reward; not to weep is deprivation.
In the sight of God, this holds great honour.
This is the Majlis of Hussain, peace be upon him.

These Majlis gatherings are the praise of God and the praise of Mustafa.
In these gatherings, the Quran itself speaks.
Through these gatherings, the path to Paradise is found.
Their beginning is made in such a way
That first upon the Zakir’s lips is the word of God.

In these gatherings, humanity is spoken of.
The remembrance of Hussain’s grief is the message of divine oneness.
These Majlis gatherings speak of the truth of the Messenger.
They reject the ideology of Sufyan.
Because of them, even Hurr became worthy of peace.
In the sight of God, this holds great honour.
These gatherings have been called the reward of Prophethood.
Since the Day of Eternity, weeping has been called nature itself.
In the dictionary of the heart, this is called love.
That is, it has been called the Sunnah of Batool.
My salaam is upon every eye that weeps.

When a Majlis-e-Aza took place in the land of Sham,
Zainab spread the mourning rows in remembrance of the Imam.
Tears were hidden within the names of the martyrs.
When mourning was held for the thirsty King,
From then on, the grief of Hussain became known throughout the world.
In the sight of God, this holds great honour.
In the Majlis, remember little Sakina.
Whenever you drink water, remember the King of Karbala.
When you hear the mention of Ali Asghar in a Majlis,
Then sigh deeply and say with a trembling heart:
“O Asghar, great is your rank among the martyrs.”

Sarwar is the Noha-reciter of this Majlis-e-Hussain.
His tongue never tires in the remembrance of Hussain.
His mother fed him tears of grief in his first nourishment.
His father gave the azaan of Nohas into his ear.
